Dr Shehzad Ahmed is a Programme Leader for MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). Before, he was Assistant Professor (Lecturer, AC Grade 3) at UWS and the deputy programme leader of the MSc LSCM. He started his job with UWS as a Lecturer in Management/Operations in March 2017. He is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management, specifically Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Hull, Hull, UK. Previously, he has done MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Hull and also a Master in Operations and Information Management from University of the Punjab, Pakistan.

Before joining UWS, he was working with the Logistics Institute at Hull University as a Post-Doctoral researcher. Shehzad also worked as a KTP Associate from 2010-2012 with Keyfort Ltd, UK. His research interest includes but not limited to:
